BOARD OF ASSESSORS
JANUARY 16, 2008
Chairman Suzanne Roberge called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. Councilors present included Robert Gagne, Michelle Kareckas, and Jean Demetracopoulos. Town Manager Jeffrey A. Grossman and Assessing Agent Craig Skelton were also in attendance. David Burke was not in attendance.
On a motion by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, seconded by Mrs. Kareckas, it was unanimously voted to grant abatement to Civil Consultants, account #H0070P, in the amount of $869.09. The leased equipment is taxed directly to the leasing company.
On a motion by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, seconded by Mr. Gagne, it was unanimously voted to grant abatement to David Springer, Map 3 Lot 22-04, in the amount of $698.21. The lot is not buildable until a road is built from Wild Rose Lane.
On a motion by Mr. Gagne, seconded by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, it was unanimously voted to grant abatement to Paul Lagarde, Map 23 Lot 36, in the amount of $96.12. The assessed land area is incorrect.
On a motion by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, seconded by Mr. Gagne, it was unanimously voted to grant abatement to Floyd Beavers, Map 1 Lot 11-72, in the amount of $249.65. This adjustment will more equitably reflect a difference in the value between one and two bedroom units.
On a motion by Mr. Gagne, seconded by Mrs. Demetracopoulos, it was unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 6:08pm.
