SOUTH BERWICK BUDGET PROCESS
Budget request forms are delivered to the Department Heads in January
as soon as possible after the first 6 months of the fiscal year.
Departmental budget requests are due back to the Manager at the end of the month.
The Town Manager reviews the Department requests to create the Manager's proposed budget.
The Council meets in workshops with the Manager and Department Heads as needed during the month of March.
Budget workshop dates are posted to the calendar.
The Budget Public Hearing is held annually in April.
The Town Council's budget is finalized by the end of April.
The Council's final budget is posted to the website after the Town Report has been finalized and forwarded to the printer.
We endeavor to have the Town Report available two weeks prior to Town Meeting.
