BOARD OF ASSESSORS
DECEMBER 15, 2003


Chairman Robert Gagne called the meeting to order at 6:34pm.  Councilors present included John Ford, Suzanne Roberge, John Rudolph, and Richard Clough, Sr..  Jon St. Pierre, Town Manager and Jeff Waterhouse, Assessing Agent were also in attendance.

Action was taken on the following abatement requests:

        Mr. Rudolph made the motion to table to allow the assessing agent to verify the discrepancy
        between the amount of acreage in the deed vs. the acreage shown on the subdivision plan.
        Mr. Clough expressed his concerns that Black Swan Realty did not complete a Town
        application.  He stated that for consistency reasons, all applicants should complete the form.

Mr. Waterhouse informed the Council that the Board of Assessment Review would be hearing their first appeal for Rudy Holmander on December 22nd.  A second request has been received from Kathy Richards for an appeal hearing, (date not yet set).

On a motion by Mr. Clough, seconded by Mr. Rudolph, it was unanimously voted to require any abatement requests be submitted on the Town’s prescribed application form.

Mr. Clough asked Mr. Waterhouse to check into whether a policy exists requiring that contiguous lots owned by the same owner be combined for tax purposes.

On a motion by Mr. Clough, seconded by Ms. Roberge, it was unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:06pm.
