The Director of Planning & Economic Development is responsible for reviewing all applications for "uses" described in the Zoning Ordinance to determine whether a minor or major site plan review is needed, as well as subdivision proposals. He assists the Planning Board in gathering the necessary information to rewrite or amend both the Zoning and Subdivision ordinances. He
is also provides staff support to the Comprehensive Plan Update Committee and the Economic Development Committee.
The Planning Board meets twice monthly on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7 pm in the Council Chambers. Meeting agendas are available via the link above or from the homepage. The first meeting of the month is dedicated to Ordinance Updates; the second meeting is dedicated to Development Review.
