Police Chief Dana Lajoie
Chief Lajoie has been in law enforcement for 21 years. Starting with the Town of Berwick Maine as a patrolman and K-9 officer, then later becoming Sergeant. In June of 1986 he was promoted to Chief of Police. He has enjoyed serving the citizens of South Berwick ever since.
Over the years he has sat on several committees such as Dispatch Consolidation, York County Jail Advisory Board, and Seacoast Emergency Response Consortium.
One of the most rewarding challenges was an assignment as interim Chief of Police in Berwick Maine from September 1997 through June 1999. The managing of two separate departments was no easy task.
