Adoption Law How do you find a Lawyer? Contact the Lawyer Referral & Information Service at 1-800-860-1460. You will be referred to an attorney in your area who handles your type of legal problem.
The Service charges a $20.00 referral fee. The fee is $15.00 if it is paid within 20 days. (VISA and Mastercard are accepted).
However, your first half-hour consultation with the attorney is free of charge. Charges after the first half-hour must be discussed and agreed upon between you and the attorney.
Personal Referral: Check with a friend, a family member, or a neighbor for personal advice about a lawyer they know and would recommend to you.
Advertising: Some lawyers do advertise in the yellow pages. Remember to discuss specific fee arrangements with the lawyer.
