SOUTH BERWICK BUDGET PROCESS
- Budget request forms are delivered to the Department Heads in January
as soon as possible after the first 6 months of the fiscal year.
Departmental budget requests are due back to the Manager at the end of the month. - The Town Manager reviews the Department requests to create the Manager's proposed budget.
- The Council meets in workshops with the Manager and Department Heads as needed during the month of March.
Budget workshop dates are posted to the calendar. - The Budget Public Hearing is held annually in April.
The Town Council's budget is finalized by the end of April. - The Council's final budget is posted to the website after the Town Report has been finalized and forwarded to the printer.
- We endeavor to have the Town Report available two weeks prior to Town Meeting.
