Board of Assessment Review
The Town of South Berwick is seeking members for the Board of Assessment Review.
The Board hears appeals from the decisions of the Board of Assessors regarding applications for abatements to property taxes and makes determinations with respect to assessments in accordance with the general laws of the State of Maine. The Board acts as an impartial panel, advocating for neither the Assessor or taxpayer, in rendering a decision at a hearing. Members do not need to be inhabitants of the Town. The Board is only required to meet for appeal hearings. Board of Assessment Review members are appointed by the Town Council for a term of 3 years

southberwickmaine.org/Government/Board of Assessment Review, or in the Business Office
located at 180 Main Street, South Berwick, ME 03908.

Applications will be accepted until all vacancies are filled.
The Board of Assessment Review meets as needed at the South Berwick Town Hall.
